Five: Sharing the Future: How Collaboration Influences Ecological Behaviour

THE FIFTH SEMINAR IN THE SERIES OF SIX WILL TAKE PLACE in Sheffield on 29 January 2016.

This seminar draws attention to collective learning to change and influence ecological behaviour, and empowerment through collaborative design. In the morning there will be key-note contributions from Lucelia Taranto Rodrigues (sharing community energy to build resilience) and  Fionn Stevenson (‘collective learning in co-housing’). Then  we will be joined by video from California by Betsy Morris and Raines Cohen (introducing a workshop activity on ‘co-developing for ecological living’). Further afternoon workshops and ‘thinkpieces’ cover intersecting themes of ‘retrofit challenges’ (with Mark Parsons), socio-technical challenges, ‘gender challenges (with Jenny Pickerill) and ‘co-designing challenges’.

Closing date for applications (the date when we can confirm availability of places): December 18th 2015

The day before the seminar (Thursday 28th) we are offering a tour of collaborative housing developments in Sheffield. This tour and the seminar are both free to attend but places are strictly limited. Participants are responsible for their own travel and overnight accommodation (if required).
